About 2500 years ago, Adi Shankaracharya established CHAR DHAM (Four Mathas) in Sringeri, Puri, Dwaraka and Badrinath to take the true message of Sanatan Dharma and re-established the eternal principles and values of life and Dharma i.e. Hinduism. The four abodes is a set of four pilgrimage sites in India. The holly sites helps to attain moksha (salvation). The Char Dham as defined by Adi Shankaracharya consists of four Hindu pilgrimage sites. India is land of great Philosophers and thinkers of all time. Different time periods have seen saints such as, Mahavir, Mahatma Buddha Guru Nanak, who preached for love, peace and compassion. Buddhism influenced many parts of Asia and contained many societies such as from Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and other countries.
It is high time has come that these values are given global extension to spread peace, humanity and compassion and rise to the Mantra of वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्, meaning that the whole planet is one society.
The presence of the Indian civilizational values and religious influence has always been in South East Asia in countries like Cambodia. There are many ancient temples of Shiva and other traces of Hinduism which indicate the presence of the DHAM. People have been calling it PANCHAM DHAM due to the religious sanctity.
About 1008 names of Shiva
1008 Names of shiva is the beginning of the journey which made Sanatan felt outside India. Later, it may have taken the form of Pancham Dham in a world perspective, but the main origin of this huge water stream was from this name.
Sailesh Hiranandani engaged Guru Kumaran Swami in this work in order to shape his Sanatan thinking in Southeast Asia.
This thinking was completed by Indresh Kumar, who wrote and explained the definition of Hindutva in India. Shailesh Vats added this entire link from India.
All these senior members entrusted the task of taking this work forward in the form of Pancham Dham. All the trustees of 1008 Names of Shiva were appointed respected members of Pancham Dham.
